About
To Our Newcomers
Welcome!
The Chamber Orchestra of Louisville (COoL) presents dynamic performances of some of the greatest music ever composed in a manner that is accessible, intimate, and exhilarating.
If you haven’t experienced a chamber orchestra before, we exist at the electrifying intersection of chamber music and orchestral performance, drawing upon the “up-close-ness” of the former, while packing the sonic punch of the latter. Think of us as an orchestra of virtuosic soloists!
Performances are held at St. Francis in the Fields, one of our city’s most gorgeous venues both visually and acoustically. Our concerts run 60-75 minutes without intermission, and feature engaging tales and tidbits from our Artistic Director Gabriel Lefkowitz during the performance, as well as a meet-and-greet afterward.
We look forward to seeing you at an upcoming show!
ADA Accessibility: There are three ways to enter St. Francis with a walker or wheelchair. If you park in the handicapped spaces in front of the church, look for the door to the left of the main church doors, which has a ramp. There is also a handicapped space available behind the church offices (the white building to the left of the main church) with a ramp to enter the church through the doors between the chapel and the main church. Finally, you can park in the back, enter through the Children’s Ministry doors, and take the elevator to the main floor.
